Counselling for individuals and couples counselling are offered within this service.
 
Daytime and some evening sessions are available.
 
A counselling session is for 50 minutes.
 
My standard fee is £40.00 per session but I am keen to ensure that someone seeking counselling is not denied access to the service because the cost is out of their reach so I am always willing to discuss and offer reduced fees - especially so in our present economy.  I am sometimes able to offer sessions free of any charge.

People will turn to counselling for many different reasons, personal to themselves. As each of us is unique so to is each person's experience of the counselling relationship.

An Overview of Lesley-Ann's Training and Experience

 

I started my formal training in 1998 and currently hold three qualifications in counselling at Certificate level and a Diploma in Counselling from my studies at Southampton University. My counselling approach is integrative and draws from the Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural and Transpersonal Models of Counselling. I am an Accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and at all times work within their Ethical Framework and Guidelines. I hold an Honours Degree in Psychology (2.1) and I am a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society.

I hold a CRUSE Certificate of Accreditation in Bereavement Counselling and was a counsellor within the Bournemouth Branch of CRUSE for over 6 years.

I have a Certificate in Mediation and I am able to offer mediation services in situations such as family disputes or to assist in reaching agreement between estranged parents on their parenting responsibilities.

 

I have also studied and gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Supervision and offer Supervision to Counsellors.  I Studied at CPPD London and the model I use for supervision in an Intergrated one.



I have run my own Private Counselling Practice in Corfe Mullen, Wimborne in Dorset for a number of years now. The location is easy to find being on the outskirts of Poole and Bournemouth and there is ample car parking.  If travel to counselling sessions is problematic for you, for whatever reason, please let me know and we can look for possible solutions.
